News story

28 June 2023

Australia is facing a biodiversity crisis. Never before have our beloved native plants and animals been in such a dire state.

But today, you can help protect the priceless heritage we call Australia.

By supporting our small but mighty team at the Biodiversity Council, you will help us do everything we can to halt and reverse this crisis.

Your gift will enable us to challenge our current environmental laws and empower more Australians to take action.

Since the Biodiversity Council launched in 2022, we have made 20 formal submissions to government policy. Our volunteer Councilors from around the country are working tirelessly to share evidence-based findings and solutions in response to the nature crisis.

Through generous donations from individuals like you, we have reached 18 million people through media and engagement activities - helping shape the public narrative around this crisis in nature.

We can fight for precious wildlife and plants on the brink of extinction - but we cannot do it without your support.

Please make a tax-deductible donation now.

We are in this together.

Donations are made through The University of Melbourne and all proceeds go directly to funding the work of the council.
