Her research focuses on drivers of nature stewardship actions in diverse communities, and how engagement programs can more effectively deliver benefits for people and nature. Angela works closely with a range of government and NGO partners, coordinating social monitoring of engagement in reef and waterway stewardship.
"My research shows that Australians care about nature and want to see it protected. But they do not always know how they can make a meaningful difference while leading busy lives. I am passionate about working with the Biodiversity Council to support empowering Australians to contribute towards protecting nature and sharing their voice." - Dr Angela Dean
