"I joined the biodiversity council because I am deeply passionate about conserving our planet's rich tapestry of life. Witnessing the accelerating loss of species and habitats due to human activity, I felt a strong sense of responsibility to contribute to efforts that protect and restore biodiversity. Being part of the Council offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations, leveraging collective expertise and resources to influence effective conservation strategies. I believe that through education, policy advocacy, and hands-on conservation projects, we can make a significant impact in preserving the Earth's biodiversity for future generations, ensuring the sustainability of our natural world and the well-being of all its inhabitants." - Stan Lui
